Removing Barriers to Love
The Sufi poet Rumi once wrote, “Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”
Through my life the self reflection inspired by a yoga, mediation and EFT practice have been an amazing framework to seek out and dissolve those barriers.
I’m still doing it, that’s why it’s called a practice!
I continuously discover new barriers and then learn how to see past the illusions of the mind that block this force of love.
Each time I open myself more and more to the powerful, loving, life-force that moves through all things.
Each time life gets better, I feel happier, healthier more creative, connected and content.
But it’s not all butterflies and rainbows. Sometime this practice feels like taking out the trash, and that’s OK.
When we hit old barriers it stinks and we wish someone else could do it for us, but the discomfort of letting that rubbish get stinkier is far worse than dealing with it!
As Krishnamacharya said, Yoga is 95% waste removal.
When we take out the trash of criticism, doubt, comparison, judgement, unworthiness, jealousy and more, then finally the bliss of Love has space to come into our life!
This Saturday I’ll be teaching a workshop to systematically clear barriers to Love and crack our hearts wide open to this ultimate power!
Workshop details here >> THE LOVE CODE
If you can’t make the workshop try this simple EFT practice:
1. Acknowledge a part of your life where you feel resistance or isolation (this is a barrier to love).
2. Tap on your heart and say, “Even though I have this barrier and feel this way I accept, forgive and love myself anyway.” Say this 5 times!
3. Rest both hands on your heart and ask, “What part of myself do I need to love more to let this barrier dissolve?” Visualise that part of yourself wrapped in love.
